SOPHIE OLIVIA
Sophie Olivia is a London-based pianist & composer writing cinematic piano solos. I’ve been playing classical piano for over 25 years, and in 2018, I was offered my dream scholarship to study classical piano at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. However, before I could begin, I developed chronic fatigue syndrome (CFS), rendering me incapacitated and unable to fulfil this lifelong dream. Though devastating, I found a strange sense of freedom in hitting rock bottom, and it unlocked something in me creatively—I began composing again after years of feeling blocked.
Her compositions follow her journey of recovering from chronic fatigue & migraines, processing the grief and exasperation, but also maintaining hope and summoning the strength to finally break free.
Sophie Oliva shares her compositions with over 15K followers across all social platforms, from initial song sketches to the final thing.
